"Whispers of Lost Babylon"
A New Single Is Coming
Emanuel Arzumanyan is preparing to release “Whispers of Lost Babylon,” a nearly ten-minute symphonic progressive death metal composition and one of his most ambitious productions to date.
Bringing together a full symphonic orchestra, progressive metal instrumentation, keyboards, expressive guitar solos, growled vocals, and clean, raspy singing, the single explores the mythology, destruction, and enduring legacy of Babylon. Its story moves through the magnificence and ambition of an ancient civilisation, the devastation of its collapse, and the memories that survive its ruins.
Conceived as an immersive musical journey, “Whispers of Lost Babylon” invites listeners to enter the city at the height of its power, witness its fall, and hear its echoes across time. Orchestral grandeur, extreme-metal intensity, and moments of reflection give shape to that journey, with each arrangement serving the unfolding narrative.
The single will also be accompanied by a music video playthrough, to be filmed among the historic ruins of Villers Abbey in Villers-la-Ville, Belgium. The setting will bring a physical sense of history to the performance, echoing the song’s themes of grandeur, collapse, and enduring memory.
The composition continues the historical storytelling of Lamentation of Lost Civilizations while marking a new stage in Emanuel’s artistic development. His work as a composer, instrumentalist, producer, and audio engineer comes together in a production built around one shared purpose: bringing a lost world to life through music.
“Whispers of Lost Babylon” is expected to be released toward the end of 2026, with the exact date still to be confirmed.
